Abstract

In this project ,I used GPU shader to simulate the water,including refection and refraction. Combine with some interesting animation and Kinect technology, let user play water Interactively.

In this project ,I used GPU shader to simulate the water,including refection and refraction. Combine with some interesting animation and Kinect technology, let user play water Interactively.

Technical introduction

(a). Water surface

          Dynamically generating the water mesh to simulate the water Interactively

  (b). Refraction map and reflection

          Getting the reflection and refraction textures which generated at run time.

  (c). Shower animation

         

  (d). Caustics effect

          Just using texture mapping with GIF ,like an animate.

 (e).Kinect

          Capture the user’s hand position with x-axis and z-axis, mapping to the water surface to simulate playing water himself.

  (f).Uderwater effect

          With GPU shader,capturing the current scene and treat with fluttering effect.
