Abstract

This project is to demonstrate the chain reaction simulation by using the physical engine in OGRE3D.
There are some rigid body dynamics like dominoes and balls, soft body dynamics like rope simulation.
I use the library of Bullet to implement these physical simulations.

This project is to demonstrate the chain reaction simulation by using the physical engine in OGRE3D.
There are some rigid body dynamics like dominoes and balls, soft body dynamics like rope simulation.
I use the library of Bullet to implement these physical simulations.

Technical introduction

1. Rigid Body Dynamics
I use different kinds of collision shape to simulate the collision detection like sphere, box and shape of triangle mesh.

2. Soft Body Dynamics
I use a rope simulation. And I also add some constrains and attach a cube on it.

3. Animated Character
There is an old man in the scene. When the building fall down and hit his head, he will do some reaction.

4. Particle Effect
I try to write the particle script, so I create a fountain in the scene. I also find a powerful plugin of particle effect called "Hellheaven FX" and try to combine it in my project.

5. Camera Tracking
It will trigger the camera tracking when the first domino fall down.
